I am a student/athlete at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona. My friends, teachers, and coaches call me Mikey Villa (click here for my MexPreps profile), I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like to play my guitar and listen to music. I love to watch videos and documentaries about sports and life in general. My favorite subject is History. Baseball is my sport, I play first base, outfielder, and pitcher. I am a senior (Class of 2019), and I had a chance to play my first year of varsity as a sophomore under Coach Danny Preble. My team needed a left-handed pitcher and I was called to be part of the Lancers Varsity baseball team 3 years ago. I bat right and throw left. As of today, I am 5'11" and weight 190. I am a hard worker and always willing to do my best during practice and games. I'm a team player and always respect my coaches and teammates. The next video shows some of the things I was able to accomplish as a pitcher along with my teammates and coaches, helping my team to make it to the AIA 4A Region State Championship Game. My brother Manny is already playing at the next level for Scottsdale Community College, because of him I already know the work ethic, effort, and sacrifice that it takes to be selected to play college baseball. I am going to give my best to get an opportunity to be seen and God first, to play and compete in college baseball.
